The Role
As the Chief Growth Officer (CGO), you will define and implement strategies to achieve Blundstone's brand, commercial, and market growth objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately 50 members. Your role will involve aligning brand, marketing, sales, product, and service teams to drive sustainable commercial outcomes. You will oversee the go-to-market strategy and execution for Australia, New Zealand, and international markets, including managing sales and marketing performance in the U.S.
This executive position requires significant travel both domestically and internationally. The CGO will be based at our headquarters in Moonah, Hobart.
About You
You are a strategic and commercially savvy executive with a proven record of driving sustainable growth across wholesale, B2B, and D2C channels in multiple markets. Your leadership style is collaborative, values-driven, and visible; you inspire accountability, foster high performance, and champion the brand both internally and externally. You possess strong financial and commercial insight, excelling at translating brand vision into commercial results through effective market planning, partnership development, and team leadership.
Your experience includes leading large, multidisciplinary teams and delivering results in fast-paced, evolving environments. You are highly attuned to market and consumer dynamics, using insights to inform strategy and optimise performance. With exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, you excel at building relationships and navigating complex situations.
The Responsibilities
- Lead the research, planning, and execution of Blundstone's growth strategy across wholesale, distributor, and selective D2C digital channels.
- Drive sustainable revenue and margin growth, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and brand strategy.
- Oversee annual, medium, and long-term sales forecasts and projections, and evaluate new market opportunities, entry strategies, and partnerships.
- Champion the use of market insights to inform planning, execution, and performance optimisation, ensuring strategies are agile and responsive to market needs.
- Build and maintain strategic wholesale, distributor, and channel partnerships, and lead key negotiations to deliver commercial and brand-aligned outcomes.
- Foster performance, accountable culture grounded in collaboration, commercial acumen, and market responsiveness, working closely with other business leaders to deliver integrated outcomes.
- Represent sales and growth strategies at key business meetings and forums, ensuring that commercial activities align with Blundstone's standards and regulatory requirements.
