About the role

Based on site at Ironbark No.1, reporting to the Development Superintendent, your key responsibility as Electrical Shift Supervisor (Development), is responsible for leading electrical maintenance and repairs on the development panel during shift, ensuring all work is performed safety and efficiently. You'll play a critical role in supporting production, minimising downtime, and fostering a high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities include

• Lead and supervise electrical personnel in development
• Manage breakdown response, planned maintenance, and inspections across development equipment.
• Ensure that the mine priorities are complied with.
• Provides feedback as to the quality of the planned work and leadership to the shift trades.
• Maintain accurate statutory records and assist with audits
• Drives a culture with the shift trades of identifying faults and correcting them before they become downtime.
• Manages and raises breakdown work orders, new corrective work orders and communicates work to process coordinators.
• Reallocates labour and equipment as required to maximise safety and production on shift.
• Reacts to and controls breakdowns and provides technical support to the Shift trades.
• Drive and initiate the process delay escalation procedure.
• Initiate contingency work when required.
• Debrief all trades before they finish shift.
• Brief the oncoming shift as to the state of the mine and progress of any ongoing tasks.
• Provide a comprehensive shift report of all Electrical maintenance activities on shift.

About You

• Significant previous experience working in Underground Coal, Development operations with atleast 2-5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Electrical Trade Qualification and Tickets
• QLD Electrical Work Licence
• EEHA Certification
• Queensland Standard 11 – Surface and Underground certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Queensland Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• A proven track record of working safely.
• Commitment to the achievement of business goals and outcomes
• High level reasoning ability and problem-solving skills
• Be able to effectively plan and priorities tasks
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A team-oriented attitude.
