About The Role
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our dedicated maintenance team on a full-time basis.

Perfectly located on the banks of the Brisbane River and just steps from the Botanic Gardens, Stamford Plaza Brisbane is the city's finest 5-star luxury hotel and the flagship property for Stamford Hotels & Resorts. All 252 guest rooms feature stunning river views, and the hotel boasts eight magnificent function rooms for corporate events, weddings, and special occasions, as well as a variety of vibrant food and beverage outlets.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Communicate with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved systems.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of equipment, including plumbing (e.g., unclog drains), electrical components, cosmetic items, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, and other guestroom items.
  • Manage external contractors and provide progress updates.
  • Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing daily operations and task allocation.
  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Conduct routine inspections and coordinate preventative maintenance programs.
  • Manage maintenance inventory, tools, and procurement requirements.
  • Maintain records, logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Support facility upgrade and refurbishment projects.
  • Ensure all tasks comply with WHS and fire safety standards.
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments and deliver proactive service to guests and colleagues.

Skills And Experience

  • Previous experience in hotel or facilities maintenance leadership (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of building services and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building issues.
  • Experience managing contractors and maintenance schedules.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
