We're on the lookout for a driven Senior .NET Developer, who's ready to roll up their sleeves and play a critical role, responsible for all functions necessary to development, support and uplift UCQ applications and Digital platforms.
This role will be working on operational and/or project priorities within the Digital Platforms team across the pillars of the UCQ business.
No two days are the same here. You will:
- Develop and support applications to meet system requirements.
- Provide application expertise and input into technical solutions.
- Provide advice on the design, configuration, and implementation of the solution.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert on application data, mapping, integration, reporting and testing for the corporate application solution.
- Work with other business units to ensure that system dependencies are addressed.
- Review and endorse technical design and acceptance documents.
- Conduct Business Change Impact Assessments across each site.
- Work with each site to determine current state and map transition to future state.
- Identify and document key business requirements.
- Provide SME expertise to internal stakeholders to develop specifications and project artefacts.
- Contribute to and endorse artefacts.
- Develop reports according to business requirements.
- Contribute to the development of communications.
- Provide status updates for project reporting.
Please note, this is a full time, permanent position. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working.
What you will bring:
- Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology or an equivalent relevant discipline.
- Technical skills; .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, API, Azure, XML, Angular frameworks, ServiceNow, CICD, Branching solution, Json. Minimum 7 years' experience in Microsoft .net development
- Demonstrated knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile/Lean methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience working with wider systems application, data and systems management.
- A can-do attitude, coupled with the willingness to go the extra mile.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to pivot priorities depending on the needs of the organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in improving processes.
- Strong communication, reasoning and stakeholder management skills including advanced listening, verbal and written skills and ability to communicate with non-technical managers.
- High attention to detail and accuracy; pro-active approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the not-for-profit sector.
