WireCo Australia is seeking expressions of interest to join our Services team.

WireCo Australia supplies high-performance steel wire rope for applications in underground and surface mines, mobile and tower cranes, maritime, and ports nationally.

We perform Condition based monitoring services and analysis of in situ rope applications to industry leading standards, utilising world-class examination equipment paired with unparalleled industry knowledge.

An appropriate candidate has no prerequisites of experience, however specific personal

attributes are essential - attitude, attentiveness, and a willingness to learn will stand out above most others.

Other personal attributes must include –

 Strong mechanical understanding

 Metallurgical qualifications viewed favourably

 NDT expertise or rigging history background preferred

 Strong analytical skills

 Sound literacy and computer skills with attention to detail are a must

 Sound communication and interpersonal skills

An ability and commitment to high-level communication with customers at base level through to senior management.

 Understanding and commitment to QA and QHSE

 A strategic thinker with an analytical mindset, and great attention to detail. Must be self motivated and be able to perform without supervision, oftentimes in isolated working

environments.

 Excellent Time management and prioritisation skills

 A team player. An ability to be mine site ready, able to pass medicals, and be fit for work sites and to carry out regular drug and alcohol testing.

 An ability and willingness to travel around Australia

 An ability and willingness to work at heights

 An ability and willingness to work underground for short periods

 Readiness to work irregular hours with flexibility available

A sound remuneration package is available based on the individual applicant's experience.

Gold Coast based is essential to be successful in the role and pre-employment medicals and National Police checks will be required.
