General Manager (Australia)
to lead our Australian operations, scale our user base, and strengthen our position as the digital backbone of the distributed solar and storage industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market & Business Development

  • Develop and execute the Australia market growth strategy aligned with GreenSketch's global roadmap.

  • Identify solar & storage industry trends, regulatory opportunities, and competitive dynamics to inform business direction.

  • Drive adoption among installers, distributors, and partners to expand market penetration.

2. Sales & Commercial Leadership

  • Own revenue and customer acquisition targets for the Australian market.

  • Build, lead, and manage the sales team to drive SaaS subscription growth and cross-sell value-added services (e.g., financing, payments, insurance integrations).

  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with channel partners, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.

3. Operations & Delivery

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across sales support, customer success, training, and technical support.

  • Ensure seamless onboarding, usage, and retention of installers on the platform.

  • Drive operational efficiency, process improvements, and compliance with local policies.

4. Team Leadership

  • Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, cross-functional team.

  • Set clear KPIs and performance frameworks, fostering a results-oriented culture.

  • Act as the local bridge between the Australia team and global HQ (product, engineering, operations, finance).

5. Finance & Strategy Execution

  • Own the regional P&L and budget management.

  • Optimize revenue models including subscription, transaction-based services, and partnerships.

  • Provide strategic insights and feedback to HQ for product localization and roadmap planning.

6. Brand & Industry Representation

  • Represent GreenSketch in industry events, conferences, and associations.

  • Act as a thought leader and spokesperson for the company in Australia.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers and industry bodies.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in SaaS, renewable energy, fintech, or related industries, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or GM role.

  • Strong track record of scaling B2B SaaS or platform businesses in competitive markets.

  • Deep understanding of the solar & clean energy industry in Australia preferred.

  • Strong commercial acumen with proven P&L ownership.

  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
