Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services, with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing, container pack/unpack, distribution, over-dimensional, heavy haulage, project logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.

Symons & Clark Logistics are expanding into the Regional Mining space – and this is your chance to be part of something great from the very start.

Reporting directly to the Regional Workshop Manager (Pimba), you will play a key role in the repair, service, and maintenance of heavy vehicle equipment used within mining operations. As a valued member of our regional workshop team, you'll get the opportunity to work alongside an hand-picked and highly skilled team of technicians.

These roles are offered on a 7 days on / 7 days off / 7 nights on / 7 days off roster, working a 12-hour shift, with flexible FIFO or DIDO arrangements depending on your location. While on shift, accommodation and meals are provided.

What you will be doing…


• Maintain all aspects of a vehicle to relevant transport legislation and heavy vehicle standards.


• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance services.


• Respond to vehicle breakdown and roadside repairs.


• Action all driver defect reports as required.


• Perform fault diagnostics to detect mechanical and electrical faults.


• Test drive and/or operate equipment to ensure repair has been completed correctly.


• Ensure all equipment is safe to use and stored correctly.


• Mentor and train apprentices and less experienced team members as required.

Do you have…


• Trade Certificate as a Diesel Mechanic.


• C Class Driving License (Truck HR/ HC License desirable).


• Proven experience servicing and maintaining heavy vehicles.


• Auto electrical and/or hydraulic knowledge would be advantageous.


• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.


• Good written and verbal communication.


• A strong commitment to safety.


• Knowledge of hydraulic systems desirable.


• Ability to work with limited supervision.

• Successful applicants will be required to complete a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screening, and Police Check.
