Tyre Bay Supervisor

Golding is looking for an experienced Tyre Bay Supervisor to join our team at Curragh mine, near Blackwater | Camp accommodation and meals provided.

Golding is a successful mining, urban and civil infrastructure project management services business with projects and operations across Queensland and South Australia. Golding is looking for a Tyre Bay Supervisor to join our team at Curragh mine, near Blackwater. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this role will be responsible for leading our Tyre Fitting team and assisting with the daily maintenance of our mining equipment fleet. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a hands-on, proactive attitude and have proven experience in mobile maintenance supervision within a mining setting.

This role operates on a 7/7 roster, rotating day and night shifts. Camp accommodation and meals are provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the daily maintenance of the mining fleet.
  • Coordinate resources daily according to the Weekly Maintenance Schedule.
  • Provide direct supervision to Golding's Maintenance (Tyres) employees.
  • Ensure activities comply with the Golding Management System and approved Project Management Plans.
  • Develop team members to work cohesively and effectively within work groups.
  • Supervise the crew, managing performance and behaviour in the workplace.
  • Liaise with Client representatives, Production Supervisors, and Golding Staff to ensure effective communication across the site.
  • Follow Golding Systems and ensure compliance with plans and schedules.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to support project outcomes.
  • Provide advice to management, support business improvement projects, and undertake additional safe duties as required.
  • Monthly stocktakes and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification preferred; tyre fitting certification essential.
  • Supervisory experience in a mining environment including S1, S2, S3, G2 Competencies.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage change, and enhance the performance, satisfaction, and skill level of all fitters.
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and delegate effectively.
  • Proficient in safety risk evaluation.
  • Strong mathematical and numeracy skills.
