The Company

Peak Partners is exclusively partnered with a reputable mining business that is moving into a new phase of development at their flagship operation. The operation has a long history, with strong base metals production performance and some exciting plans for continued underground Life of Mine growth in the coming years. The business is advancing an exciting period of underground expansion and are seeking talented technical professionals to support them.

The Role

Given the flexibility in the team, the client is open to Mining Engineers with experience either in mine planning or production/drill & blast. This role isn't pigeon-holed to one discipline, there'll be opportunities to work across mining engineering functions as required. Your key responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

· Providing engineering and technical support to operations staff, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

· Monitoring production activities to develop strategies for process improvement.

· Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational performance.

· Utilising Deswik mine planning software for mine design, optimisation, and scheduling.

· Managing the implementation of mining systems, technologies, and safety procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

· Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.

· Ideally 2-6 years' experience in underground mining operations

· Completed underground time with experience in production or mine planning in a technical services team

· Excellent communication with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
