We are currently seeking an energized Training Officer to join the Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Training (HSSET) Department at the KCGM Super Pit.

You will provide training support to the Mobile Maintenance department that is compliant to the national, corporate and legislative standards and to implement a consistent, adequate and auditable training framework.

Working a 5:2 4:3 9-hour day roster, this 3-month fixed term, full-time, Kalgoorlie-based residential role, allows for great work-life balance, and an optimal lifestyle in the Goldfields.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and practices across site to ensure KCGM meets and / or exceeds its internal and external obligations.
  • Provide support to Site Supervision personnel when required.
  • Provide continuous support, guidance and direction to personnel and contractors for all training requirements.
  • Monitor quality of INX training data and provide LMS support when required.
  • Conduct and review in conjunction with site Health & Safety and training teams departmental training needs analysis.
  • Continually monitor and manage training requirements of all personnel to ensure skills requirements are met.
  • Provide high quality training to all personnel.
  • Maintain an accurate and full account of all training, inductions and assessments conducted using the appropriate systems.
  • Implement and maintain training needs and gap analysis, in conjunction with relevant supervisors and stakeholders (Training Needs Analysis).
  • Support the coordination of the verification of competency process including High Risk Work Licences and Nationally Accredited qualifications.

Requirements

Qualifications Required

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122
  • Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
  • HRWL FL & EWP tickets

Desired Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum of 3 year in a similar Training role
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Working knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
  • Familiarity with INX database modules such as InTuition.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Effective delivery of training materials to crews.
  • Mining technology and heavy production equipment.
