About the Role:

Reporting to the WA Regional Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced Superintendent to lead our Goldfields team based in Leonora.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of crane and rigging services while fostering a strong performance culture and maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Provide effective leadership to Supervisors, Leading Hands, and operational crews.

·      Oversee crane and rigging activities both onsite and at the depot, ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.

·      Drive a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with Boom's policies and customer requirements.

·      Ensure complaint with customer contracts and agreed KPIs, ensuring service delivery meets or exceeds expectations.

·      Develop and review lift studies, work packs, and job scopes.

·      Monitor operational performance, providing weekly/monthly reporting requirements to management within deadlines.

·      Foster high morale and team engagement through strong leadership, positive recognition, and effective performance management.

·      Provide coaching, mentoring, training and development opportunities for the workforce.

·      Support workforce engagement by handling employee concerns proactively and efficiently.

·      Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training to build operational capability.

·      Ensure all administrative tasks (timesheets, rosters, payroll approvals, etc.) are completed accurately and on time.

·      Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.

·      Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operational processes, efficiency, and customer service.

Roster & Location:

·      Based in Leonora

·      FIFO from Perth

· Weeks On / 1 Week Off Roster

The ideal candidate will have:

·      Proven experience in a leadership role within crane, rigging, or lifting operations (essential).

·      Demonstrated track record in leading safe operations and promoting a strong safety culture.

·      Experience liaising with clients and delivering on service commitments.

·      Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

·      Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

·      High attention to detail and problem-solving capability.

·      Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

·      Cert IV in Training & Assessment (desirable).
