Catholic Education NT operates 18 Catholic schools across the Northern Territory from Early Learning to Secondary including five colleges, seven primary schools, one flexible learning centre, and five remote schools. The position:
Working closely with the HR Manager, the Talent Acquisition Officer will be responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the talent function for CENT. The Talent Acquisition Officer will drive a strategic approach to recruitment, building a strong candidate pipeline and ensuring all talent acquisition activities align with organisational goals. This is a full-time permanent position, commencing immediately.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process, from posting roles to extending offers, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand the unique needs of each department, providing guidance on job descriptions, candidate profiles, and interview processes.
- Provide leadership and support to the Recruitment and HR Administrator, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Drive the implementation and adoption of the Tech1 HR Onboarding System to enhance the recruitment, onboarding, and overall HR service delivery across CENT.
- Build and maintain a strong, sustainable talent pipeline, ensuring a ready supply of qualified candidates for current and future opportunities.
- Represent CENT at external forums, networking events, and career days to attract top talent.

About you:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in internal or agency recruitment, with strong expertise in recruitment processes, interview techniques, and candidate assessment.
- Confidence using recruitment software and HR technologies to streamline hiring and manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle.
- Excellent communicator with a proven ability to build strong relationships with diverse internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strategic, candidate-focused, and collaborative, ensuring a positive experience for both hiring managers and candidates.
- Holds a current Ochre Card (WWCC) or the ability to obtain one prior to commencing employment.
