About the Role:

WorkPac is currently in search of a Maintenance Fitter to join our esteemed client's team based in Ballarat. This position is based on a Monday to Friday afternoon roster, full time hours.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on machinery
  • Carry out upgrades and repairs to mechanical equipment
  • Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, automated and materials handling systems
  • Undertake welding, minor fabrication, and machining tasks
  • Ensure compliance with all OHS policies and procedures
  • Participate in safety projects and improvement initiatives
  • Support production teams by keeping equipment reliable and efficient

Skills and Experience:

  • Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter (or equivalent)
  • Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated machinery
  • Skills in welding, minor steel fabrication, and machining (lathes/milling)
  • Understanding of safety and compliance systems (OHS)
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be able to pass a medical and police check
