Mechanical Fitter

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team at our Ballarat Potato site. You will be working as part of the Maintenance team, providing support to ensure optimal plant performance.

**About the Role**
- Responsible for completion of planned and unplanned maintenance work in a timely manner.
- Predominant focus area is the site services (steam, compressed air, refrigeration) and waste water treatment plant with support on the Production lines as needed.
- Work alongside the production teams to ensure maximum availability and efficiency of our production facility.
- Respond to breakdown calls during your shift to ensure mínimal equipment downtime.
- Participate in the maintenance programs through SAP that includes preventative, corrective and breakdown responses.
- Working on a predominantly 8 Hour day shift roster Monday to Friday. Shift allowances and overtime being remunerated accordingly for a competitive salary.

**About You**

We are looking an individual who will be on the tools and has;
- Formal qualifications in a mechanical trade
- Strong skills in fault finding and problem solving
- Experience working with boilers, air compressors, refrigeration and/or waste water treatment
- Experience in pneumatics and hydraulics desirable
- The ability to safely work as an individual and within a team environment and follow Company policy and procedures
- Ability to work up to 12 hour shifts as needed
- Work collaboratively with others across the organization
- Willingness and ability to learn and develop skills on the job
- Previous manufacturing / production plant experience would be an advantage
