If you're an experienced HVAC Installer, Griepink & Ward Air Conditioning has a fantastic opportunity for you. We specialise in custom HVAC solutions for high-end residential and commercial projects, many of which exceed $1 million. Job Responsibilities
- Installation & Design: You will primarily be responsible for installing HVAC systems in residential settings. You'll also collaborate with the project team and engineers to design or modify HVAC systems. This role offers variety and hands-on involvement in technical work.
- Project Management: Dependant on the scope and scale, you'll manage multiple projects at once, ensuring that deadlines are met. Your time management and record keeping skills will be key.
- Mentoring: A major part of the job is supervising apprentices and providing on-the-job training. You'll have the chance to help develop the next generation of HVAC professionals.
- Customer Interaction: You'll communicate directly with customers to understand their project goals and specifications, making sure you install HVAC systems that meet their needs and expectations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: You need at least 3 years of HVAC installation experience, which is ideal if you're already familiar with the demands of the role.
- Specialized Knowledge: Experience with Daikin systems is highly regarded and VRV experience is beneficial, it's not required. If you don't have this expertise, it won't be a deal breaker.
- Technical Skills: You'll need to read and understand shop drawings and schematics, so a strong technical background and attention to detail are important.
- Soft Skills: Being punctual, having strong communication skills, and meeting deadlines will be essential to your success in this role.
- Additional Requirements: A valid driver's license and all necessary tools and trade licenses are required.
- Current Victorian Building Authority (VBA) registration as a mechanical services plumber is required
