About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Care Nurse (RN or EEN) to join our dynamic team at the Smith Street Medical Centre in Charlestown, NSW. As a part-time Primary Care Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care and support to our valued patients.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting with general medical and surgical procedures and treatments under the supervision of medical professionals
- Conducting patient assessments, observations, and basic diagnostic tests
- Administering medications, immunisations, and other treatments as directed
- Providing patient education and promoting preventative health measures
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records and documentation
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated and patient-centred care
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care
What we're looking for
- Registered Nurse or EEN with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a general medical (ideally within the primary care environment)
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to prioritise and manage a diverse patient caseload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control, workplace health and safety, and quality assurance principles
- Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a part-time schedule
