Due to rapid growth, Nurse Next Door Newcastle is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Leadership team as a Care Designer (Senior Clinical RN).

You will have at least +5 years experience as an RN with advanced clinical skills and a kind nature, and are looking for an autonomous Leadership role where you can use your skills and experience to lead our team of Care Ambassadors (RN/EN). Current experience in the community sector including care coordination will be highly regarded, however hospital based acute care nursing skills will also be considered.
You have a reliable vehicle and current drivers licence, and are willing to travel to client homes in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and surrounding region.
You will have excellent communication skills and be courteous and responsive when we contact you.
You will be flexible, adaptable and excited to join our Leadership Team which involves working Monday- Friday with rotation of on-call evenings and weekends.
You have current experience in working with clients with complex physical needs.
You are a self led leader with the ability to take responsibility for your own behaviour and success, however you are coachable to the Nurse Next Door way. You are reliable, committed to your work, and have a 'can do' attitude every day

- AHPRA Registration
- National Police Check (Aged Care/ Vulnerable Persons Sector)
- Working with Children Check (WWCC- for paid work)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion
- NDIS Worker Screener
- First Aid and CPR Certificate

You must be passionate about Making a Difference (Essential Criteria)
As a Care Designer you are responsible for the day to day operations related to driving business results through client experience and caregiver management. You will drive growth through the following main duties and responsibilities:
- Conducts Caring Consults (intake)
- Assesses Clients with respect to physical, emotional and environmental needs and advises on Client care
- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to the Care Ambassador team
- Drives business interest by engaging in relationships with community leaders and professional organisations to establish long term relationships that will translate into word of mouth and professional referrals
- Develops, promotes and ensures high quality, innovative customer service
- Filling Vacant Visits
- Attending client homes to provide training and development to Caregivers
- Participating in client care initiatives
- Attending to Nursing client care (within scope of practice)
- Liaising with and responding to Caregiver concerns about their clients
- Communicating effectively with our Care Services Centre and the Care Ambassador/ Care Designer team
- Nurturing relationships with our Caregiver and client care teams
- Willingness to undertake and complete our mandatory internal e-learning and competency programs in the timeframe allocated to you
- You must be confident in detecting and reporting any concerns outside of your scope
- You must be willing to think outside the box and find those Gems that will make your clients life better
- The ability to work independently as well as in teams
- Effective and nurturing communication skills are essential and will form a large part of your success in the role
