We are seeking two wonderful Area Coordinators to support our clients and staff for a period of maternity leave. The Area Co-ordinator(s) are responsible for a designated area-based team of Disability Support Workers (DSW) who provide support for an assigned group of Nightlife's participants. They provide team leadership and are responsible for ensuring new and existing service users have the best possible service, from a dynamic and connected team. They seek to proactively grow our reputation and presence across regions, in partnership with the broader Nightlife team.

The Area Coordinators are responsible for service user planning and assessment, team scheduling, compliance to NDIS standards and ongoing staff supervision and development to ensure staff are equipped to provide the best possible care and support.

Roles and responsibilities:


• Lead and develop an assigned team of Disability Support Workers (based on a geographic sector of Participants). This includes:

o    Undertake Supervision, Performance Appraisals and regular check-in conversations to build and enhance performance as per Nightlife policies and NDIS Standards

o    Support staff development to address individual (and team) capability gaps to ensure a high-quality service to participants is provided and maintained, this may be achieved through coaching, mentoring, on the job and formal training

o    Manage conflict, provide coaching and development opportunities and address performance issues within your team

o    Seek to develop and grow services and staff in the designated work area


• Be a point of escalation for the team for any issues with regards to on-the-job issues and incidents. Manage and monitor incidents in line with Nightlife policy.


• Shares deep knowledge and experience with peers and team members


• Liaise with the Clinical Care Consultant and HR to ensure staff are trained as required for NDIS purposes and to continue to provide exemplary service to participants


• Ensure all service users are provided timely, appropriate and high-quality assessment, and service plans to enable services to be delivered in accordance with preferences and needs.


• Ensure a high-quality experience of intake and planning across a service users' journey with Nightlife. This includes supporting service transitions, monitoring satisfaction and providing timely response to changes in needs


• Work closely and seek secondary consultation with the RN Care Consultant to ensure high quality service delivery through enhanced assessment, planning and staff support and training. This includes engagement of the RN within intake, changes of needs and annual assessments.


• Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including participants, families, and guardians, potential referrers / service users and other services


• Act as an escalation point for our After-Hours support team


• Provide back up support in the event of Afterhours gaps in consult with the Service Delivery Manager.

Skills and Qualifications:


• Certificate IV or Diploma in Disability or equivalent / or equivalent industry experience and / or willingness to obtain


• Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in operational service delivery


• Knowledge of NDIS compliance, standards and processes


• Must have NDIS Workers Screening check, First aid, CPR
