Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney's western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary health care team, where you'll play a vital role in supporting patients through the emotional, psychological, and social challenges of illness and hospitalisation. Social Work in a hospital context focuses on the complex interplay between patients, their external environments, and the treatment process. You will help patients navigate the loss of control and independence that often accompanies hospital admission, fostering their overall well-being through crisis intervention, psychosocial assessment, counselling, advocacy, case management, grief and loss support, and complex discharge planning. Your work will benefit both patients and the organisation by identifying and resolving psychosocial barriers to recovery and smooth transitions through the hospital system.

Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families. Apply now to be part of a team that values empathy, collaboration, and holistic care.
