About the role

The WNSWLHD Youth Drug & Alcohol program is an assertive outreach service that will provide youth focused responses and treatment options. The program works with those aged 12-25 experiencing issues with alcohol and other drug use, and their families/carers.  The program aims to reduce harm by taking a multi-disciplinary and evidence-based approach.  This program will focus on a holistic, trauma–informed, culturally safe and responsive service delivery model.

A role in the alcohol and other drugs sector offers mentally stimulating work and provides a high level of autonomy and empowerment. You'll work within a collaborative team that enables a culture of support.

In this role, you will be using innovative, evidence-based skills and interventions, you will professionally support individuals seeking assistance with alcohol and drug use. You will take a trauma-informed approach and provide respectful, person-centred care, tailored to each individual's needs. Central to your role will be employing an individualised, holistic approach to care, incorporating comprehensive care planning to address the diverse physical, emotional, and social aspects of each person's journey to support the young person and their family.
