The Opportunity:

Commencing Term we have an exciting opportunity for an inspiring and passionate Early Childhood Co-Educator. This position will be instrumental in supporting the implementation of our 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten program at Pinemont Pre-School.

About Pinemont Pre-School:

Pinemont Preschool is a long standing and well-established community pre-school, governed by a dedicated parent-based Committee of Management. We are a well-resourced and innovative sessional kindergarten that recently underwent Assessment and Rating and for the third time received Exceeding in all 7 Quality Areas of the National Quality Standards.

The desired candidate will have:

• A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) OR a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education depending on the time fraction option chose - Please refer below to Hours section for further information
• A passion for working in Early Education, along with an ability to clearly and positively communicate and connect with children, parents and colleagues
• An ability to work effectively with Early Childhood Teachers and other Co-Educators to deliver a high-quality learning program, while creating a safe and supportive learning environment
• Understanding and patience in addressing diverse needs and behaviours of young children
• A strong understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Previous experience in sessional kindergartens is desirable but not essential
• First Aid training
• Emergency asthma management qualification
• Management of anaphylaxis qualification
• Valid Working with Children Check (Employee) and Mandatory Reporting

Hours:

We are open to a number of options in order to fulfill this role, potentially involving both Diploma and Cert III qualified professionals.

Option 1 (DIPLOMA qualified candidate): Total hours: 34.5 hrs in total hrs Contact Hours, 7hr Non- contact hours - Monday and Tuesday- 8:30am to 4:15pm, Wednesday -11am to 4pm, Thursday and Friday -8:15am to 4:15pm

Option 2: (DIPLOMA OR CERT 3): Total hours: 14.5 hrs in total, 11.5hrs Contact Hours, 3hrs Non-Contact Hours - Monday & Tuesday 8.30am-4.15pm,

Option 3 (DIPLOMA): Total hrs: 20hrs in total, 16hrs Contact Hours, 4hrs Non-Contact Hours - Wednesday: 10.30am-4pm, Thursday: 8.15am-4pm, Friday: 8.30am-4.15pm,

Any additional hours will be paid at VECTEA award rate of pay.
