About the Centre/Service

Woodhouse Grove Kindergarten is located in Box Hill North and provides sessional programs for 3 and 4 year olds. At our kindergarten, we want the children to know they can try it themselves, be themselves, celebrate diversity, play fair, look after the world, feel safe and enjoy their kindergarten journey. We see children as individuals who each have their own interests, ideas and perspectives. We believe in empowering the children to grow, take on risks, work independently, build resilience and express themselves in many ways. We offer the children new learning experiences and develop new skills whilst enabling them to make choices, develop their independence and feel a sense of pride and achievement. Description

Woodhouse Grove Kindergarten is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic co-educator to join our experienced and supportive teaching team. This role primarily supports the 3 year old groups (20 children each group), working Monday and Wednesday, 8am - 4.30pm .

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (Diploma or Cert III)
  • An understanding of, and commitment to child safe practices
  • Strong teamwork skills, effective communication
  • A passion for supporting children's learning and development

Qualifications

  • A Diploma or Certificate III of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent).
  • A valid Working with Children Check
  • Understanding of Mandatory Reporting requirements and training
  • First Aid qualification, including Emergency Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis/Epipen training

Additional Requirements

The 3 year groups attend on Monday and Wednesday 8.30am - 4pm (working hours 8am - 4.30pm). Non-contact team planning time occurs on Thursday 9am - 12pm. As we are committed to the ongoing growth and development of our teaching teams, we consider alterations to our teaching roles (year level/staffing combination) every few years.
