Business Development Manager
Deliver an ambitious growth agenda for a growing and high performing supply chain consultancy to unlock uncapped earning opportunities.
Business Development Manager
Full-time | Melbourne-based
Our client
Our client is a high-performing freight and logistics consultancy with national reach, deep industry expertise, and a growing reputation for delivering smarter, faster, more efficient solutions to mid-to-large scale businesses.
They've built a strong foundation, a connected team, and a clear path for growth — now they're looking to add an additional driven, commercially-minded Business Development Manager to drive things even further to the next level.
The role
Build relationships. Deliver solutions. Grow revenue.
You'll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, engaging decision-makers and converting new clients into long-term partnerships. Working closely with the National Sales Director, you'll own your pipeline and be supported by a nimble, experienced team that understands what it takes to win.
This is a role for someone who enjoys the challenge of selling solutions, not products — and who knows how to have meaningful commercial conversations with people across ops, supply chain and the C-suite.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and convert new business opportunities across key sectors
- Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified leads
- Partner with internal teams to deliver tailored supply chain solutions
- Lead client engagement from first contact through to onboarding
- Use data and insight to shape proposals and drive conversations
- Contribute to a culture of performance, collaboration and customer focus
- Inspire thought leadership within the supply chain sector across your client base
What's on offer
- Competitive base salary
plus regular, high-earning performance bonuses - Join a growing business in a stable, in-demand industry
- Be part of a collaborative, ambitious and down-to-earth team
- Real opportunity to build your career in a business that rewards effort and outcomes
- Supportive leadership and a connected culture that values people
What you'll bring
- Exposure in B2B solution selling (freight, logistics or supply chain ideal, but not essential)
- A track record of achieving sales and revenue targets
- Commercial acumen and the ability to understand and solve complex customer needs
- Adaptable communication skills and confidence engaging senior stakeholders
- A hunger and maturity to realise what is possible with a diverse mix of customers
- Comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a team
- A curious mindset and drive to keep learning, improving and growing
This will suit an emerging, driven and sophisticated professional eager to take charge of their career, build commercial partnerships and be rewarded significantly for it. If this is you reach out to learn more.
