About the role

  • Deliver accurate and timely laboratory testing to support quality patient care.

  • Maintain high standards by monitoring quality control and ensuring compliance with safety and quality systems.

  • Keep lab equipment and supplies ready and functioning to avoid disruptions.

  • Communicate critical results promptly to clinicians and teams, ensuring swift action.

  • Collaborate, train, and grow within a dynamic team committed to professional development and excellence.

About you

  • Demonstrates personal integrity and a strong alignment with the values and mission of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent), with relevant coursework in haematology and immunology.

  • Recent, practical experience in Haematology, Haemostasis, and Transfusion Medicine, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality diagnostic services.

  • Strong proficiency in laboratory IT systems and actively engages in continuing professional development to stay current with industry standards.

  • Contribute effectively within both autonomous and team-based settings, communicates clearly, and able to support a 24/7 rotational roster to ensure consistent and high quality service delivery.
