Facilities Manager / Operations Manager, Brisbane Northern Suburbs, Permanent, $negotiable depending on experience

Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will be the leading Facilities expert and have autonomy for this Regional Shopping Centre.  As part of a larger facilities management team, you will have support, access to training and development, and the ability to utilise excellent systems.

As the maintenance, security and safety custodian, the role will draw upon your ability to drive the centre's brand through appearance, keeping the environment safe and clean and building strong, robust relationships with contractors, tenants, stakeholders and customers.

A snapshot of your responsibilities includes:

  • Maintain the Centre to a high level of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Run the operational budget for the Centre
  • Keep the Centre's plant and equipment in good order and repair.
  • Ensure all maintenance/ operations meet insurance, workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Project Management and Capital Works
  • Maintenance, cleaning and security contractor coordination and management
  • Ensure contractors are inducted correctly
  • Monitor and maintain programs to reduce electricity, water and other service wastage.
  • Assist with the coordination of refurbishment and tenant fit-out projects

You will be a doer who can keep on top of tasks autonomously; you will have a wealth of experience in facilities management within a commercial asset or a similar setting. Retail / Shopping Centre Facilities Management would be advantageous.  You will have an understanding of budget preparation.
