We are seeking a highly organized and empathetic Casual (On-Call) After Hours Transfer Officer to join our team in Mandurah. Ideally, applicants will reside within 30 minutes of our premises on Pinjarra Road. This after-hours position operates on a week-on / week-off basis, with standby hours from 5:00pm to 8:00am on weeknights and throughout the weekend. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.

The primary responsibility involves conducting transfers of the deceased to our Mandurah premises, accompanied by a team member.

Additional casual work may be available as a Funeral Directors Assistant and for relief transfer duties during your alternate week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be physically fit & as the role involves significant manual handling on a regular basis
  • Navigate emotionally challenging situations with calmness and empathy
  • Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, a good-natured attitude, & the ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Maintain discretion & uphold strict confidentiality
  • Be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 & influenza
Requirements
  • Professional personal presentation and grooming appropriate to a client-facing role
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid and clean WA Driver's Licence
  • Must hold Full Australian Residency
  • National Police Clearance (issued within the past 12 months)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment, including fitness testing
