About the Role
The
Shire of Murray is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator, reporting to the Manager
Murray Aquatic and Leisure Centre, this position oversees the safe, effective
and compliant operation of the aquatics area, including managing aquatic and
cleaning staff, maintaining and developing procedures fostering strong internal
and external relationships.
This full-time
position, working 76 hours across a 9-day fortnight, with an EBA Level 7 salary
on offer - $90,336.72 to $95,147.92 per annum, depending on skills and
experience.
Key
responsibilities include:
- Ensuring
the aquatic and broader MALC facilities, plant, and equipment are maintained to
a high operational and presentation standard, maximising safety, efficiency,
and community use. - Provide
effective leadership, direction, training and mentoring to aquatic, cleaning,
and other staff as required, fostering teamwork, accountability, and
professional growth. - Ensure
aquatic & cleaning staff maintain current qualifications, participate in
ongoing training, and demonstrate high professional standards in service
delivery. - Fulfilling
Duty Supervisor shift requirements (50% of the time) and assist with day-to-day
operational and administrative functions, including data collection, reporting,
and record-keeping.
This
is a diverse role requiring a 'hands on' approach, with a focus on the customer
experience.
About you
To
succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Leisure
Institute of WA Aquatics Accreditation and Aquatic Technical Operator accreditation
or equivalent. - Previous
experience within an Aquatic environment at a supervisory level. - Working
knowledge and experience in swimming pool plant operations, including reactive
and preventative maintenance. - Well-developed
leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain a cohesive and
effective work team. - Well-developed
interpersonal, customer service and liaison skills, with the ability to use
initiative.

against the picturesque backdrop of the Darling Scarp.
