THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic, proactive and organised Head of Sport, Fitness & Activities to lead our College's extracurricular programs in relation to sport, fitness and activities. This pivotal role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and promoting a diverse range of sporting, fitness, and activity opportunities that inspire participation, achievement, and personal growth among our students. This is a non-teaching role that will require flexibility in working hours including, early mornings, afternoons, evening and school holiday work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for sport, fitness, and activities that enhances the College's reputation and student outcomes.
  • Lead and manage College sport carnivals, interschool competitions,sporting tours, and block sport programs.
  • Develop coaching and activities programs, ensuring all staff meet compliance standards
  • Mentor student leaders and promote achievements through various platforms.
  • Manage administrative aspects, including event calendars, budgets, equipment, and risk assessments.
  • Foster partnerships with local sporting clubs and associations to create meaningful pathways for students.
  • Support the College's commitment to child safety, inclusivity, and cultural diversity.

  • Proven leadership experience in sport, fitness, or activities coordination, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives and manage multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Commitment to the College's values of excellence, compassion, and empowerment.
  • Flexibility to attend events outside standard hours and during school holidays.
  • Current Working with Children Blue Card.
