Chisholm is seeking Casual Education Access Workers for the Student Support & Engagement

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Casual Education Access Worker your key responsibilities include:

• Assist students with planning their education commitments and developing study skills, including managing assessment tasks and review of study materials.
• Explain and support understanding of new procedures, words and concepts expressed in class.
• Discuss key points of in-class discussions, important instructions, and assigned tasks that are shared during class with the supported student.
• Clarify any unclear information with the teacher and student during class.
• Provide well organised notes to summarise academic content, including material presented by through PowerPoint slides, videos, and other audio-visual methods.
• Maintain the independent learning experience for supported students by minimising direct interactions during class as relevant.
• Undertake other duties as required and as appropriate to the level and nature of the position to support and contribute to the successful operation of Student Support & Engagement.

ABOUT YOU

You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in Educational Support. 

Qualifications required for the role

Essential

• Previous study at a Certificate IV level or above, or successful completion of VCE / VCE VM

Desirable

• Certificate IV in School Based Education Support or Disability Support qualification
• First Aid Certification
