Paralegal/Legal Assistant (Family Law)
Are you a Paralegal or Legal Assistant with some experience in Family Law? If you are now seeking a new opportunity, look no further We are working with a fantastic legal firm based on the Northern Gold Coast seeking a new team member to grow their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong organisational skills, and thrives on providing reliable, high-quality support.

Role: Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Location: Northern Gold Coast
Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm
Salary: Up to $75,000 Super (Depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time, permanent

You will be joining a team, unique to the legal industry - they have a very personable and bright team so are looking for someone who can fit into this culture. The firm works across all areas of Family Law, including mediation, arbitration, and collaborative divorce. They are passionate about their work and are looking for team members who also hold the same enthusiasm about doing meaningful work whilst being part of a lovely environment.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
  • Manage client files, including electronic filing and document organisation
  • Liaise with clients, courts, and third parties as required
  • Assist with preparing briefs, contracts, and legal reports
  • Conduct legal research and assist with case preparation
  • Maintain diaries, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
  • General administrative duties including scanning, mail handling, and office support
  • Overall legal support to the wider team and leaders
Essential skills & Experience
  • Prior experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant preferred (Open to levels)
  • Experience within Family Law is a must
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and legal systems
  • Strong team player, willing to contribute to a collaborative environment
