We have a current opportunity for an
Aviation Systems Architect
, on a contract basis within the Defence sector. The role is based in
Canberra, ACT
. The contract is for an
initial 12 month period, with a 2 x 12 month extension option
.

Start: circa 01 December 2025

DSS Skill Set: Level 3 - Systems and Software Engineering - Systems Engineering

The Systems Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

  • Provide specialist advice and support to the Aviation Branch's strategic objectives to enhance existing systems and develop new capabilities in communications, command and control, computing, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.
  • Support the integration and development of aviation systems within Defence's digital and operational frameworks.

Minimum mandatory requirements:

  • AGSVA Security clearance
  • Defence experience.
  • Experience in providing specialist advice and supporting Aviation strategic objectives.
  • Experience providing expert advice on Army Aviation C4ISR system design, implementation, and information exchange standards to enable digital modelling and integration with command and control systems.
  • Experiece supporting system design, testing (verification and validation), certification, and compliance with relevant military and civilian standards.
