Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Endorsed Nurse Practitioner to join the Victorian Virtual Specialist Consult (VVSC) team.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our five main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.

About the Role:

This role requires a registered nurse with advanced clinical skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to assess and treat patients in a telehealth setting. We are looking for Endorsed Nurse Practitioners specialised in paediatrics, women's health, or geriatrics.

The NP role is responsible for treating a wide range of patients with varying complexity while demonstrating clinical and professional leadership. NPs work autonomously and collaborating with the VVSC and VVED medical and nursing teams to ensure safe and efficient care for patients and their families.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive knowledge in treating a wide range of patients with varying complexity in paediatric, adult and older adult presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret assessment information including clinical history, physical findings and diagnostic data to make healthcare decisions
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
