The Opportunity

We're on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic Design Drafter to join our team full-time. This is a fantastic opportunity to hone your drafting skills in a career working on real-world projects with tangible outcomes. You'll work closely with our drafting and engineering team to develop 3D CAD models, prepare general arrangement drawings for customer approval, and produce manufacturing drawings for fabrication in our workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine product designs with support from the engineering team, ensuring performance, reliability, and fit-for-purpose outcomes
  • Create accurate and clear fabrication drawings that suit workshop capabilities and optimise manufacturing efficiency
  • Work closely with the sales team and clients to ensure technical solutions align with project requirements
  • Support general project administration and document management activities

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years experience in 3D modelling and 2D drafting, using Autodesk Inventor (preferred)
  • A knack for solving problems with a practical, hands-on mindset
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A keen eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality, accurate work
  • A self-starter attitude and the ability to work independently when required
  • Background in manufacturing & engineering with strong mechanical aptitude
