The Opportunity

We're on the hunt for an experienced Automation Manager to join our team onsite at our Dandenong South yoghurt factory. This newly created role will see you steer the future of our plant's automation – from PLCs and robotics to SCADA systems and MES integration. You'll take ownership of how we maintain and improve our automation set-up, balancing the day-to-day troubleshooting with building the roadmap for where we're headed.

A typical day could see you leading a hands-on fix to keep production moving, working with technicians on PLC upgrades, overseeing new projects with external automation partners, and then jumping into a strategy session with our local and US teams about how to align our systems globally. It's varied, it's technical, and it's a role where you'll really get to shape the way we do automation in-house.

What you'll bring to the table:


• A strong automation background – 10+ years in industrial automation with solid PLC (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley), HMI/SCADA (Ignition, Wonderware), robotics, and MES experience


• At least 3–5 years in a leadership role – you'll be leading a small team now with room to grow as we expand


• Knowledge of FMCG/food manufacturing environments (fillers, case packers, production lines)


• Be a technical problem-solver who can roll up their sleeves but also step back to design systems, improve code, and set up long-term preventive and predictive maintenance programs


• A communicator and collaborator – comfortable working with different stakeholders and able to explain the technical in a way that gets buy-in across the business


• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Automation, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
