GameFace is a Melbourne-based media company bringing community sport to life through high-quality gameday vision, live streaming, and creative digital media.

We cover everything from local AFL leagues to hockey, soccer, and netball — delivering live broadcasts, highlight reels, photography, social media, podcasts, and more.

We're also leading the way in remote PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera systems, helping sporting clubs capture every moment with managed broadcast solutions and offshore production support.

The Role

We're looking for an Operations Manager to take charge of GameFace's day-to-day production operations and help scale our growing broadcast network.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing everything from live game scheduling and staff management to customer support and quality control across both traditional filming and remote camera services.

You'll ensure every local match — live or automated — runs smoothly and is delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Scheduling

  • Oversee weekly delivery of up to 100 live broadcasts across multiple leagues
  • Manage camera operator rosters and logistics using Deputy
  • Ensure equipment, uniforms, and setups are ready for every match
  • Oversee upload and distribution of all footage

Remote Camera Operations (PTZ Program)

  • Manage our partnership with Sport VOT for remote camera production
  • Oversee installation, onboarding, and technical support for clubs using PTZ systems
  • Coordinate remote streaming schedules and ensure broadcast quality
  • Manage customer bookings and communication across all remote games

Staff Management & Training

  • Recruit, train, and support camera operators and offshore teams
  • Develop training materials and maintain performance standards

Customer & League Relations

  • Act as the key contact for leagues and clubs on production matters
  • Manage bookings, feedback, and service issues professionally and promptly

Quality Assurance & Reporting

  • Maintain broadcast quality control for all live and VOD content
  • Track KPIs including coverage rates, uptime, and client satisfaction
  • Provide weekly reports on operations, staffing, and service delivery

About You

We're after a strong organiser and communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience in operations management, ideally in media, sports, or broadcasting
  • Excellent leadership, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Deputy or similar rostering tools
  • Understanding of live streaming workflows and camera operations
  • Strong communication skills across clients, contractors, and offshore teams
  • A basic technical grasp of PTZ systems or willingness to learn

Bonus points for:

  • Experience working with offshore production teams (e.g. Sport VOT)
  • Knowledge of community sport, particularly local AFL
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, project management tools, and reporting dashboards
  • A current driver's licence and flexibility for occasional weekend work
