About the role

The Board Secretary provides key support and coordination for all West Moreton (WMH) Board and committee activities including acting as, with the support of the Senior Director Legal, Governance, Audit and Risk, a liaison between the WMH Executive, WMH Board and other key internal stakeholders.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience as a high quality board secretary, working closely with a Board and Executive team.
  • Consistent and exceptional professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise and consult effectively with stakeholders at all levels within and external to West Moreton.
  • High level attention to detail with an ability to review correspondence for accuracy and interpretation relevant to the audience.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise competing demands, requirements and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated high level of computer literacy, including advanced Microsoft Office Word and intermediate Microsoft Office Excel skills.
  • Highest degree of professionalism demonstrated at all times and ability to work with little supervision.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for improvement and lead improvement initiatives utilising high level negotiation and influence skills.
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in the areas of board governance and compliance, particularly legal risk management, statutory interpretation, compliance and corporate governance matters.

Mandatory Requirements:
