Job description:
The Opportunity
Our Customer Service division is seeking a talented Field Service Technician/Engineer to join our team in Western Australia. Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, this role is hands-on and diverse, involving commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, and technical support for our product solutions — including Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and PLC control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission, service, and maintain Variable Speed Drives and PLC control systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers on-site and remotely.
- Deliver professional service, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Compile clear and detailed service reports.
- Participate in the service on-call roster for customer support and breakdown response.
- Travel to client sites across WA and interstate as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a relevant trade qualification.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens PCS7 or similar automation systems (essential).
- Basic understanding of power electronics.
- Enthusiasm to develop skills in Low and Medium Voltage Variable Speed Drives (training provided both locally and internationally).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently.
- Current driver's licence.
- Excellent communication skills for customer engagement and reporting.
