    Ace Machineworx is a precision machining and engineering workshop based in Proserpine, Queensland. We specialise in machining, fabrication, line boring, hydraulic cylinders, general engineering, and maintenance services for industries including agriculture, mining, marine, and earthmoving. We take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and innovative solutions to meet the diverse needs of our clients throughout the Whitsunday region.

What you'll be doing

  • Efficiently set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, borers and drills to manufacture, modify and repair equipment and components.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work orders to carry out required work

  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery to minimise downtime and improve efficiency

  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards

What we're looking for

  • Formal trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter & Turner/ Machinist or equivalent trade qualification.

  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and the operation of a variety of machining equipment

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills

  • Commitment to workplace health and safety procedures
