Empower Homes. Elevate Your Career.

Join Schneider Electric, the world's most sustainable company and the most local of global companies. Represent Clipsal — Australia's #1 brand in electrical solutions for homes, proudly supporting sparkies, builders, and homeowners for over 100 years.

Our Home and Distribution (H&D) business delivers smart, sustainable electrical solutions to homes and small businesses. We're hiring a passionate Area Sales Representative to manage a high-potential trade territory across Northern Tasmania, including Launceston, Burnie, and surrounding regions.

This is a field-based role with flexibility — work from home, customer sites, and Schneider Electric's local Tasmanian office footprint, with access to global tools, systems, and facilities. You'll be empowered to own your region, build close relationships, and represent a brand that's shaping connected living across Tasmania — backed by a multinational that feels truly local.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Own and grow a defined territory across Northern Tasmania
  • Build trusted relationships with electrical wholesalers, contractors, and builders
  • Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into long-term partnerships
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations and training sessions
  • Use CRM and digital tools to manage your pipeline and performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions and resolve customer challenges
  • Represent Clipsal at trade events, customer days, BBQs, and occasional after-hours functions
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and residential developments
  • Enjoy flexibility in your schedule — we trust you to make it work
Who You Are
  • You've built experience in territory sales, account management, or trade-related industries
  • You're early in your career (0–15 years) and ready to grow — curious, adaptable, and driven
  • You're confident managing your own schedule and building relationships
  • You hold a full driver's licence and are open to occasional regional travel
  • You live in Launceston or within close travelling distance
  • You're passionate about helping customers succeed and representing a brand with purpose
  • You value flexibility, empowerment, and being entrusted to own your results
  • You want to feel part of something — with mentors, community, and visibility
Why Schneider Electric?
  • Full product and sales training — we'll set you up for success
  • Support from a local, regional, and national team
  • Access to mentors, communities of practice, and career development pathways
  • Competitive salary, fully maintained vehicle allowance, sales tools, phone, and quarterly performance incentives
  • Flexibility to work remotely while staying connected to a strong support network
  • Access to Schneider Electric offices and global facilities for collaboration and growth
  • Be part of a company that leads globally but supports locally
