We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic person to join our expanding workshop team as a warranty clerk.

About the role

For the successful applicant we will offer flexible work hours that suit (e.g. school hours, part time, fulltime etc.) with the option of working from home for part of the work week.  The role also presents an opportunity for future career progression.

Whilst it is not mandatory, the position would suit a person who has mechanical experience or previously performed in a service advisor or warranty officer role in a heavy vehicle or general motor dealership, or a related field.

As the warranty clerk your primary role is to manage heavy-vehicle warranty claims from submission through to resolution. You will have contact with company workshops and the senior management team, to ensure compliance with our dealership and manufacturer guidelines.

If you have good communication, time management and problem solving skills, this position would suit you.  Experience in the company's software management program, Auto IT and Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel is highly desirable, yet not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process warranty claims for heavy-vehicle components,
  • Verify work orders, invoices and service reports against manufacturer warranty policies,
  • Liaise with technicians, workshops, parts departments and manufacturers to collate relevant warranty information and resolve claim discrepancies,
  • Maintain accurate records of claim status and correspondence in our CRM/work-order system,
  • Track claim approvals, parts returns and credit reimbursements,
  • Generate periodic warranty performance and financial reports, and
  • Identify trends in warranty failures and recommend system improvements

Qualifications

  • Some working knowledge and experience of heavy vehicle products, repairs and parts is desirable, yet not essential,
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate collected information to compliant warranty claims,
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, database and the company's management system Auto IT is desirable, and
  • Organisational skills including the ability to manage workflows within the dealership warranty guidelines.
