Our Opportunity

Location: Fortescue's Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people

Roster: 8D6R FIFO ex Perth

The Senior Planner & Scheduler is responsible for building fully resourced work orders ready for execution, inclusive of confirmed labour, materials and equipment as directed by the Work Management Process.

Working in partnership with plant maintenance and shutdown execution teams to provide a service for our primary customer, the plant operations team. That service being a maintained and reliable plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimising fixed plant maintenance strategies
  • Managing maintenance system used to prepare schedules of primary and secondary maintenance work
  • Working with internal stakeholders and SME's to drive technical feedback required to plan tasks adequately
  • Collaborating with external contractor partners to clearly communicate scoping requirements and ensure they meet the specified deliverables within the agreed timeframes
  • Responsible for presenting the correct works for execution based on operational requirements, priorities, and asset criticality
  • Responsible for ensuring that the scope of work presented for execution complies with established guidelines and restrictions

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 - 5 years mining process plant maintenance experience
  • Previous planning experience in a large-scale maintenance planning environment
  • Fixed Plant Mechanical/Electrical trade qualification complaint with Australian standards
  • Cert IV Maintenance/Asset Management desirable
  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Qualification
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP CMMS, MS Office suite and MS Project
