We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Psychiatric Clinic 2 days a week with the potential for this to increase.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the assessment and treatment of patients experiencing mental health challenges.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with specialised training or experience in mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative duties, coordinating patients bookings, paperwork and billing.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding scheduled treatment and procedures.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects related to mental health.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification, with current registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of [2] years of experience working as a nurse.
  • Completion of additional training or certification in mental health is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
