The team
The Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) group drives transformational change and delivers core technology services across ASIC. It comprises teams such as IT, Cyber Security, Data & AI, Digital Hub, Portfolio Office, BMU, and programs like RegistryConnect and Digital Delivery.

The Business Management Unit (BMU) provides executive support and business management services, focusing on strategic planning and continuous improvement to enable smooth daily operations and help DD&T leadership achieve their priorities.

The role
The Business Management Lead oversees key DD&T activities to support the Executive Leadership Team, including meetings, staff forums, communications, reporting, BCP, culture initiatives, and working groups. The role partners with the Business Coordinator to ensure efficient operations, strong information management, and ongoing business improvement.

You Will Be Accountable For

  • Coordinating monthly management meetings and quarterly townhalls, including presentation pack preparation.
  • Managing internal communications across newsletters, SharePoint, Teams, and executive messaging.
  • Leading BCP reviews and emergency planning; acting as DD&T's liaison with ASIC's Business Resilience Team.
  • Driving DD&T's Culture Action Plan with executive sponsors, including working group coordination and reporting.
  • Supporting the Women in DD&T Network through meeting coordination and content contribution.
  • Assisting with DD&T business planning, stakeholder engagement, and progress reporting.
  • Leading business improvement initiatives and enhancing work practices with the Senior Manager BMU.
  • Ensuring smooth BMU operations with the Business Coordinator, leveraging digital and AI tools.
  • Overseeing governance reviews to maintain up-to-date policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating DD&T Privacy Champion activities and acting as BMU Privacy Champion when needed.
  • Supporting procurement processes in line with PGPA Act and compliance requirements.

About You
You will ideally have the following skills & experience in a corporate of government environment:

  • Relevant vocational or tertiary qualifications.
  • Advanced organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management experience including building, maintaining and utilising networks and relationships and ability to partner and work effectively with other ASIC teams to meet objectives.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Communicate effectively to all audiences in both written and verbal formats to achieve intended purposes. Demonstrated strong business writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience implementing projects or business improvement initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent judgement and an ability to own and drive work with limited guidance.
  • Understanding of ASIC's role within the Government and regulatory context.
