Electro Careers & Apprenticeships is a Group Training Organisation (GTO) established by the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) of South Australia / Northern Territory. We're dedicated to the electrotechnology industry, committed to providing the right people to meet today's skills needs and build for the future. We employ apprentices and trainees in electrical, data and communications, refrigeration and air conditioning, and business administration, placing them with host employers for hands-on training.
The Opportunity
Join us in shaping the next generation of skilled professionals The primary purpose of this role is to provide support and guidance to trainees and apprentices, helping them complete their training while boosting retention and completion rates.

The Role
As a Field Officer, you'll coordinate and lead the development of apprentices in line with Electro Careers & Apprenticeships' core values.
Key responsibilities include:
· Delivering pastoral care through ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to apprentices
· Building and managing strong relationships with apprentices, trainees, and host employers
· Maintaining records of visits for compliance and completing required paperwork
· Creating a supportive environment for apprentices and trainees
· Recruiting apprentices, trainees, and host employers
· Negotiating and mediating between host employers and apprentices/trainees to resolve issues
· Traveling intrastate and interstate to visit apprentices (a current full driver's licence is essential)
We're seeking someone with an excellent work ethic, high motivation, and the ability to work autonomously or in a small team. Exceptional interpersonal skills are key for fostering relationships with co-workers, apprentices, trainees, and host employers.
Previous experience in the electrical industry, Group Training, or an electrotechnology trade qualification is beneficial but not essential.
