The role

We are seeking casual Forklift Operators to work behind the scenes in our purpose-built Distribution Centre, located in Murarrie.

Our Distribution Centre is the heart of our business and plays a pivotal role in ensuring we have the right product in-store at the right time. Our Distribution Centre crew are responsible for the Receiving, Warehousing, Processing, Picking & Packing and Dispatch of our product.

What you'll be doing
  • Responsible for the safe operation of mobile plant in line with traffic management obligations.
  • Handle product with care and ensure items are placed in cartons/totes safely and securely.
  • Have a high attention to detail to ensure appropriate inventory control.
  • Follow directions from an RF scanner and be able to differentiate product types and barcodes.
  • Ensure quality control of product being handled.
  • Ensure orders are packed in accordance with City Beach standards to ensure that they arrive to our stores or customers in excellent condition.

  • Utilise equipment such as:

  • Picking trolleys;

  • Box cutters;
  • Handheld tape dispensers;
  • Pallet jacks;
  • Pallet wrap; and
  • Other equipment as required.
  • Safely use conveyors for carton/tote transport.
  • Organise and sort cartons/totes on shelving and pallets, neatly and securely.
  • Other general warehousing duties.
What we're looking for
  • Hold a current forklift licence.
  • Recent forklift experience is preferred, high reach and counterbalance specifically.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing. Manual handling requirements are up to 20kg.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow direction and work both independently and as a team, while maintaining a professional demeanour.
  • Must have some availability between Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm.
