To support our continued growth, Freedom Cabinet Australia is seeking to recruit a Cabinet Maker to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine job specifications and material requirements for cabinet production.
• Select and work with appropriate materials such as solid timber, MDF, particle board, laminate, and other engineered wood products.
• Operate precise cutting, shaping, and assembly of cabinet components.

Implement necessary programs (Computer-Aided Design - CAD), panel saw, and sliding table saw when requires.

• Construct and assemble various types of cabinets, including kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and storage units, following detailed design plans and quality standards.
• Install cabinetry on-site, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and functionality in residential and commercial applications.
• Fit hardware such as hinges, handles, drawer runners, locks, and catches to cabinetry with precision and care.
• Apply protective coatings, laminates, or edge banding to cabinetry to ensure durability, finish, and aesthetic appeal.
• Perform quality control checks throughout the fabrication and installation process to maintain high standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment in accordance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations.
• Liaise with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects and efficient workflow.
• May assist in training apprentices or junior cabinet makers.

Skills and Experience Required:

• At least Australian certificate III in carpentry or higher qualifications.
• At least 1 year of full-time hands-on experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a closely related trade.
• Proven ability to work independently across all stages of cabinet fabrication and installation.
• Strong understanding of cabinet construction techniques, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed plans, blueprints, and measurements accurately.
• Experience with carpentry programs and machines, edge banders, panel saws, and similar equipment is highly desirable.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
