Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled scheduler practitioner / program planner to lead program planning efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing planning artifacts, coordinating schedule updates, and delivering comprehensive schedule execution reporting and analysis. Based in the Brisbane office as part of the Integrated Planning & Scheduling Office (IPSO), you will spend the majority of your time deployed to support the needs of many different executing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead program planning initiatives to ensure project alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain planning artifacts to support project execution.
  • Coordinate and execute schedule status updates to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Deliver schedule execution reporting and analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage complex schedule baseline updates (BCR) to reflect project changes.
  • Lead complex schedule development efforts that align with program execution plans.
  • Provide surge campaign support to meet project demands.
  • Support first-line tool support for BDAs schedule tools suite, including technical troubleshooting and configuration support
  • Lead and assist in the delivery of IPSO functional training, in support of professional development of IP&S practioners
  • Conduct ACP audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Ensure tool compliance with BDA directives and standards, ensuring remediation plans are coordinated and completed
  • Assist in the development and implement processes and policies to align with tool deployment

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in scheduling or program planning with 3+ years within the defence industry, or a relevant degree with 3+ years within the defence industry
  • Extensive experience in operating Project Scheduling & Earned Value in a commercial environment
  • Strong knowledge of project planning principles and techniques to achieve desired project outcome, including resource management
  • Strong Knowledge of planning & scheduling theory, concepts and principles required to deliver project outcomes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Develops collaborative relationships in a team-based environment and builds rapport and trust among stakeholders
  • Prior experience with OPP & Cobra in the Defence Industry will be advantageous although not required.
