About the role:

We are seeking a proactive and supportive Course Coordinator for our Diploma of Community Services program to lead a collaborative team across our Melbourne and Adelaide campuses. This exciting opportunity allows an experienced education professional to take on a key leadership role, fostering professional growth while delivering exceptional student support in a dynamic environment. The position is a full-time, permanent role based onsite in our North Melbourne campus.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee delivery of the Diploma of Community Services, ensuring compliance with SCEI policies, ACWA accreditation, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and manage Training Plans for the DCS program.
  • Validate and moderate assessments, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Conduct student admission interviews, resolve escalated issues, and assess RPL/credit transfer applications, recommending approvals to the CEO.
  • Ensure students meet course and fieldwork placement requirements per ACWA standards.
  • Build and maintain industry relationships to support fieldwork placement agreements.
  • Manage Community Services staff, monitor performance, and support recruitment and induction with HR.
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain industry currency through professional development.
  • Collaborate with administration to ensure accurate student records and timetabling.

Selection criteria:

  • Diploma of Community Services or higher qualification
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment including LLN unit
  • A minimum of 5-6 years' experience working in the community services sector
  • A minimum of 3-year experience in an education role
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to motivate and coach students to excel in their course
  • Proactive and positive approach to program management and student support.
