About the Role

This position is responsible for the delivery of high quality civic and corporate events, ensuring public image is enhanced and positively maintained.

This includes:

  • Initiate, plan and coordinate Council civic events
  • Provide support and advice to the Mayor, CEO, Manager Media and Communications and Council staff in the conduct of civic events
  • Ensure that the appropriate ceremonial and protocol requirements are adhered to in the conduct of civic events
  • Prepare reports, proposals and budgets for civic events

This role requires you to attend Council civic events as required including weekends and afterhours.

About You

To be successful in the position, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in a civic or corporate event role
  • Previous experience in organising functions and civic events including the preparation and administration of budgets

We are looking for someone who is experienced working with a variety of stakeholders and official delegates, with the ability to work in a team environment both as a leader and participant.
