Our client is a global leader in the packaging, paper, glass, and resource recovery industries, providing high quality, innovative and sustainable packaging products and solutions in Australia. Recent growth has created opportunities for HC Drivers to join their business. 

Location:

Albury Wodonga, Melbourne, NSW & Queensland

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Operating and driving heavy vehicles.
  • Transporting goods safely and efficiently over designated routes.
  • Sign for their loads, including pre-departure documentation.
  • Interact with customers upon delivery.
  • Complying with all traffic laws and regulations related to heavy vehicle operation.
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
  • Maintaining accurate records of driving hours, rest periods, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Monitoring vehicle performance and promptly reporting mechanical issues.
  • Adhering to company policies and safety procedures while on the road.
  • Interacting professionally with customers and other road users.
  • Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods while managing delivery schedules.

Requirements:

  • Comfortable reversing (essential)
  • Be physically fit.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Friendly manner for customer interaction.
  • Experience in Fatigue Management
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Willing to assist other drivers.
  • Able to follow instructions.
  • Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test
